As a professional florist for over 30 years, I have learned two things: •No one knows flowers better than Mother Nature and •No one has better ideas than my clients Bringing your ideas to life is an honor, but it is also a tremendous joy! I have been captivated by flowers and floral design since my first job in a flower shop in the early 90’s. When I opened my own business, I found that using art and nature for inspiration provided a unique way to highlight the sensual nature of flowers. By playing up to simple design theory to enhance their textures and colors, I could present flower arrangements in a way that titillates the senses. I approach your flower delivery with creativity and imagination. Through experience and education, I have developed a critical eye and an elegant personal style that can be seen in the simplest bouquet and the most elaborate wedding alter. My favorite projects are the occasions in which I design unique floral arrangements inspired by the personality of the client and which highlight the natural beauty of the flowers selected. There is always an unexpected element, and that is often why my floral arrangements are so delightful. Gathered Stems Floral Couture has been highlighted in several print and digital magazines, but am extremely proud to have been featured several times in Engaged Magazine, a bridal magazine serving the DC Metropolitan area.
